The TOEFL® Test Journey Made Easier for Students
The TOEFL program has established new initiatives to help make the TOEFL test taker journey easier. These resources include the new TOEFL Journey™ program, five-country scholarship program, our TOEFLGoAnywhere/India page on Facebook, and in-country contact centres.
The TOEFL Journey Program is a free program that provides customised information on every step of a student's study abroad journey, from choosing a school to preparing and registering for the TOEFL test and beyond. Students have their own customizable dashboard to keep track of their top destinations, and they can receive emails and text messages relevant to their current phrase of studying abroad.
The 2011 TOEFL Scholarship program is designed to reward TOEFL test takers for achieving academic excellence, exhibiting leadership skills, performing extracurricular activities and demonstrating English communication proficiency. Scholarships are available in China, India, Japan, Taiwan and Korea for TOEFL designated institutions located in the U.S., U.K., Australia and other locations.
Students in India can get the latest TOEFL updates on the TOEFLGoAnywhere/India page on Facebook. Through this new Facebook page, TOEFL test takers can get test prep materials, free sample test questions and study videos; find a local TOEFL iBT™ test resource center; learn from other English-language learners who have either taken the test or are currently preparing for the test; and be informed about upcoming educational events.
The TOEFL program is continuing its support for test takers by opening more customer support centers in local languages. Centres were recently opened to support test takers in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France and Germany. These contact centres are available to assist students with finding test preparation materials, locating test centres near them, obtaining score reports, ordering additional score reports and anything else they might need before or after test day.
